Josef (Joseph) Wojcie(c)howski was my husband grandfather. Josef settled in America, Ironwood,Mi. Josef wife was Sophia, Estefnia, Stephania, Stephinia unsure of the spelling because so many documents show the different ways. We were also told her last name may have been Szuback , Szubaka or other ways I am unaware of. I have found out that there was some ship manifest that were thrown out from some of the ships that were in the Holland America Line some were rescued. I would like to find out where his home land was and to be able to find him aboard the ship also. Thank you.
